There are many adorable little costumes that you can make for your little furry friend.  When making something, you want to be careful that he is comfortable in it, and that it will not make him too hot.  The following are some ideas for last minute homemade Halloween costumes for puppies.

Superpuppy – Your puppy can easily be superpuppy.  You just need to find a blue puppy shirt or you can easily make one yourself with a blue piece of cloth. Just sew it together with holes for the head and arms.  On the back of the shirt you made, you can attach a small piece of red cloth to be the cape.  It doesn’t have to be long, but you should put the Superman S-shield on it.  Your puppy will be the cutest superpuppy on the block.

Puppy Ghost – Your puppy can easily be a little ghost with a simple white shirt.  Either buy or make a shirt as described above.  You can use any white fabric you have lying around or even use the fabric from a pillowcase or a sheet.  You will want people to know what he is, so you may want to write the word “BOO!” on the back of the shirt.  It should take no time at all and hardly any money to make this cute costume.

Puppy Pumpkin – You can have yourself a little puppy pumpkin with an orange shirt.  Again, make a shirt as described above, but this time you orange fabric.  You can place a little green stem on it so that it is more obvious as to what he is.  You could even try to add a little hat if you think that the dog would allow it.  Use orange fabric with a little piece of green fabric to be the stem for the hat. 

Puppy Witch – This time make a black shirt for the little puppy.  If you think he’d stand for it, you could even try a little puppy pointy hat.  If you could find or make some sort of toy that looked like a broom, that would complete the look nicely. 

It is very adorable to dress up your little puppy.  You do not need to go to the store and spend a fortune to do so, however.  Some of the cutest Halloween costumes that you can make for puppies in the last minutes are Superpuppy, Puppy Ghost, Puppy Pumpkin and Puppy Witch.
