I nursed it,
I nourished it,
I tucked it in at night.
I focused on it,
Dwelt upon it,
Held it oh so tight.
I cuddled it,
I coddled it,
My energy I gave -
And now this
Great big grudge I've grown
Has made me...well...
Its slave.
