Foundation of Truth

Oh my dear Jah,

My God of salvation

Please help me to build up

A solid foundation

In the knowledge of truth

Let my foundation be firm

In your ways let me walk

Your wisdom let me learn

Fortify my heart

And please make me strong

So I shall serve you in righteousness

My entire life long

With whole-soul love

I will gird up my hips

And abide by each saying

That comes forth from your lips

Let my feet be implanted

In the doing of right

So I can follow Christ Jesus

Walking e'er in the light

For the top to be sturdy

The foundation must be secure

How else can it manage

harsh winds to endure?

Let your Word that I study

Sink deep down inside

So that your Holy Spirit

Within me can reside

Oh dear Jehovah

My God of salvation

Please help me to build up

A solid foundation

So I may prove to be faithful

In my every endeavor

And have the prospect

Of living forever
