SKEE BALL: The app for iPhone

Do you own an iPhone?  Over a million were sold in the first week they came out.  That is a lot of iPhone owners. Many people are aware of the applications that can be purchased, otherwise known as apps.  There are way too many to list here.  But one in particular is on my list.  Skee ball.  Now, I love skeeball, and go to Chuck E. Cheese with my children to play it.  It is a classic, and can be found at most fairs and such places.  But, play it on my cell phone?  Well, it is a very popular game app.

Skee ball is a brand name for a game in which players roll balls up a sloping, table-sized ramp, attempting to score points by making them drop into slots in a target. (http://www.dictionary.com) It is one of my most favorite games.  In app ratings it averages a 5 out of 5.  It is not like playing the real thing, of course, holding that ball in your hand, but it can be really enjoyable.  Freeverse has done a great job at reenacting this classic.  It has a neat feature, if you score a 40 in a roll when the right lights are lit you can earn 1x, 2x, 3x and so on. The iPhone also has a physics engine that allows you to twist the phone after you "throw" the ball and spin it in a different direction.  The holes have points of 10, 20, 40, 50 and 100.  You can earn "prizes" with your tickets that you earn with the points you rack up.  The game includes a rack to store all of your goodies on.  Playing is easy, just drag your finger across the screen to direct the ball to where you want it to go.  No coins necessary, just touch the 'more' button, and nine new balls appear.  It can be such an addictive game.  If you need something on your phone to play while standing in line waiting, this may just be the game for you.  Of course, you may get too distracted and forget where you are.

To download it to your phone will only cost 0.99 cents.  I'd say that is a bargain.  You can find this app at the Apple iTunes App store online.
