I drive from my home through traffic
to a beautiful and peaceful nature preserve.
The feeling is surreal at Green Cay;
The wetlands are natural and undisturbed
by many types of living creatures.
I forget the noises of civilization,
and even of my community.
I am transplanted into another world,
one of natural beauty and stillness;
I head back home, but know I'll soon
return to Green Cay Wetlands.
