Poetry: Life is a game

by Carol Gioia

Created on: December 16, 2009   Last Updated: December 17, 2010

Life is a game of strategy,
challenges abound,
even with established rules,
unfairness might be found.

Try to do your very best,
and when all’s said and done,
you'll be viewed a good sport,
who had an honest run.

Having only one chance to play,
you’d better play for keeps,
if you should wander out of bounds,
the penalties could be steep

Display good sportsmanship,
strive to become MVP,
winning at the game of life,
respect is your legacy.
