Gone in the shadows,
some distance away....
Longing for something
who knows how to say?
Life can be difficult, even hard at times,
no mother to run to, so where could I go?
Going to friends, a daughter will do.
Break out of the pattern built on many years.
Going back home was one of my fears.
Where could I go? There's only one place.
To have and to hold, doesn't mean disgrace.
Leaving was meant, but after all this, all I can say is,
I'm back and it's fate.
Looking back I can see, being back
means, maybe it's not too late.

A kitchen knife in my back
her parting gift, my final lot.
