Ehow is an online site where writers can submit how to style articles and get paid a residual income. To begin writing for Ehow, join in with a user name and password. Ehow currently pays writers through Paypal so it is necessary to have a Paypal account.
When starting out on ehow, write articles on subjects that you are familiar with because your article will flow more smoothly if you write about what you know. Choose good topics and research search engine optimization. Every Ehow article needs an introductory paragraph which should tie in with the topic. Each article also must have at least three actionable steps. In other words, someone should be able to read the how to and follow along step by step. The steps should be in order and make sense to the reader.
Choose topics carefully and do not write common sense articles. Common sense articles would be along the lines of how to boil an egg, how to make toast or how to make ice. Ehow periodically does sweeps and will delete articles that do not meet their guidelines. Read the terms of service carefully and adhere to the rules.
Ehow pays its writers based on a secret algorithm which hinges on several things. Ehow does not revel how payments are based to keep people from cheating and working the system. Never click on your own ads or suggest to anyone else to click on ads. This is considered click fraud and you can be banned from Ehow. To make Ehow’s payout, you must earn $10 a month. If you do not make payout for the month, your earnings will carry over until you reach $10. Ehow generally deposits earnings into Paypal accounts by the 10th of the month, although they have until the end of the month to do so.
Ehow’s community forums are a good source of information. If you have a question, you can ask it there and usually an experienced ehow writer will answer it or point you in the right direction.
Do not feel that you need to be in competition with anyone. Write articles at your own pace. It is better to have ten quality articles than a hundred poorly written articles. Before submitting your articles, proofread them several times. Do not just rely on a spell-check program to correct errors. Also, read your articles aloud to see if they make sense.
What Ehow is not is a get rich quick site. One article is not likely to generate much income. It takes time and patience to build a base of articles. Use a visual aid to stay motivated on Ehow by depositing your daily earnings into a clear glass jar. Even if you only earn a few cents each day, it starts to add up and watching your money grow is very inspiring. Keep writing good articles and one day you will turn the corner and begin making payout every month.
