Dads deserve the best Christmas gift, you can afford to buy! After all Dads work very hard to provide for their familes all year long. This is an awesome opportunity to tell your Dad how much you love him. You don' t have to spend a ton of money, either. Smaller children can give Dad coupons for back rubs and foot massages.
The first thing to consider when getting the Dad on your Christmas list a gift are his hobbies. When your Dad is a hunter, fisherman, or he is heavily into sports or riding motorcycles, that will make it easy to buy him a gift. You could also get him a gift certificate or gift card from a store that he frequents for his favorite hobby. Then he can choose what he really wants to get.
Another Christmas gift idea to consider is buying Dad what he always said he wanted. Some Dads drop hints all year long, such as the super busy Dad who says, “ All I want to do is sit in my favorite chair, and watch what I want on TV.” For your husband, buy him a new recliner, or go in with relatives and buy Dad a big screen TV. Buy your Dad satellite TV with his favorite sports channels. You could even buy him a TiVo; to record his favorite sports or favorite reality TV shows on.
Almost everyone thinks of buying Dad cologne, slippers, or a tie for Christmas. There has to be a better gift for a Dad. How about buying Dad soemthing completely new and original, unless he si compeltely stuck in his old ways! Buy Dad a subscription to magazines he enjoys such as Sports Illustrated, or a magazine with scantily clad girls in it. Hint hint-Get him the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition or Maxim Magazine!
For the Dad that works out, consider buying him new athletic wear, a new bike, new weights, or a gym membership. Buy your Dad a new pair of running shoes, and promise to walk or jog with him everyday. This can help the two of you get back into shape, or to stay in shape. Besides, if you get your Dad a rower, or new stationary bike, he might let you use it when he is not.
For the Dad that doesn’t have time for hobbies, buy him a new blanket, to lie under and relax on his favorite, comfortable couch. Buy your Dad a back massager. Buy your Dad a back massager that fits on his seat in the car. This is especially great for a long distance traveling Dad.
Start your Dad on a new hobby by buying him something he may enjoy doing. Share the cost with other relatives and buy Dad a new fishing pole, new hip waders, or a new boat. You can build Dad a new ice fishing hut to hang out in on the ice, so he doesn’t freeze, while ice fishing. Go ice fishing with him,. Take the kids and enjoy a day ice skating on a nearby laek or pond. This will be family bonding time galore!
Getting a great Christmas gift for Dad doesn’t have to be costly either. Make a coupon book for Dad with promises of hugs, homemade cookies, back rubs, hot chocolate, or an evening out for dinner that you pay for. An elderly Dad that lives alone may enjoy a coupon book filled with coupons from your immediate family filled with great ideas of spending time with your Dad, such as a movie night, and having him over for dinner.
Christmas gift ideas for Dad are endless. Discover his hobbies, and what he really likes to do, and this will create great gift ideas for your Dad.
