The best prepaid cards are ones that you can pay off each month.
The best prepaid card for you to get should come directly from a bank, in the form of a secured credit card. Don't go for a prepaid credit card,THESE CARDS ONLY ARE GOOD FOR THE AMOUNT YOU LOAD INTO THEM, AND DO NOT HELP YOUR CREDIT AT ALL, THEY ARE NOT REPORTED TO ANY CREDIT BUREAUS !
Your credit limit will be equal to the amount that you deposit into your savings account. The savings account that you have established in your name will usually be an interest bearing account which you will make money off of. Once you go to the bank, open up a secured credit card savings account, be responsible. If you charge ten bucks then turn around and go to the bank and deposit around 8 dollars into that account. Once they report your account performance to the credit bureaus, you will want to have a small percentage of your available credit on there. Don't pay the entire balance off, it is better for your score to owe 25% or less of your available credit than to have a zero balance. The FICO scoring calculater is funny that way.
Good luck in your future secured credit card. Remember, don't charge more than you can easily pay off in a month. And monitor your credit, good luck.
