The Journey to Divinity
She was here, at this point and realized everything that lead her to here. She was ready, ready to go forward and find her loved ones. Sure, her sons were the first, but there were more; people that she felt connected to, people that for no reason she should feel connected to, but a word, a glimpse, an artistic piece; a song, a painting,a novel or a poetry piece opened her intution to who they were and she felt that kinship, that keen knowledge that the path was meant to cross because it had crossed before, perhaps many times.
Perhaps every lifetime had been spent questing to find them. She was pretty certain that this was her lifetime of change; the first lifetime where she had an idea of her quest. She might very well be close to the end of her journey. Lyrics from Alanis Morrissette, "How 'bout not equating death with stopping?" floated through her mind in accompaniment. For the first time, she was certain death would not be stopping. But she had much to do.
It really started out as faint whispers and it started from within. The guides were always there telling her what to do and what not to do. More importantly, they told her to preserve the good of herself and not to let the ugly happenings in life remove who she was. She thought of that at 37 and realized "this doesn't happen to everyone" and she knew that God existed inside her. She came from his breath; long, long ago. She'd had many births and many deaths to get here. This was hell and the trick was to find peace and happiness while in hell, and to find the path to home. Don't come alone" She knew she was not to. 2012 had a flickering significance, although she never believed in that stuff.
Instincts were a great thing and they'd been the natural-born talent that she turned to in her later years, when she was wise enough to realize their power. She had been wise enough as a child to listen, but in growing up did not and instead followed what everyone followed. The death of a fiancee and then a disastrous marriage finally made her realize that somewhere she got off track. At the same time she conceived this knowledge, she conceived her first child, and the journey began. It was a journey of love. It was the path to love and ultimately the path to divinity. These two boys that were her children were born to accompany her. They'd been here before too. One was pragmatic and carried worldly wisdom and one was pure and innocent. They could both change the world. Perhaps they would.
Knowing what she knew, it was hard to co-exist with the man-made world. She was so set into the system by this point that she felt powerless to change it. She realized that perhaps her companion would join her, or that she may never have the power to find that companion unless she took the actions to make the change. This was the branch that sat in the middle of her path. This was not going to be easy. Her body was getting older and she knew that she was being called upon to gather.
