Pimples crop up every time, whether we expect them or not, along with them they produce redness around the pimples. This can make them look even more prominent than they already are and look extremely are, if you have a lot of pimples or acne this can be extremely frustrating and may end up with you picking at it, which makes it even redder! However one can reduce pimple redness, it is a quick process and can leave your skin looking clearer as the pimples will be less prominent. Here are some tips on how to reduce pimple redness.
Creams/Oils – This is a technique which many do not use at all because they think that creams and oils will worsen the situation, however it will not, in fact it will reduce the situation. By drying out a spot it become red and angry, the pus sticks out for all to see, which is not what you want. It then takes a week to go. However, by putting a bit of cream or oil on the spot, it soothes it, thus the pimple dies down a bit, and because it is soothed the redness is reduced. It is simple; there is no need to be scared of oils and creams!
Ice – This is a great way if your pimple is extremely red and angry, cover a bit of ice in a cloth and press lightly to the affected area. This will soothe the pimple very quickly, minimise redness and swelling. However only do this for a couple of minutes (2 – 3 minutes), as longer could harm your skin.
Cucumber juice is a great way to reduce the redness of pimples; it will soothe the spot and reduce the redness. Extract the juice from a cold cucumber for added soothing and a relaxing effect. You will feel the cucumber working and your spot feeling less angry and red.
With these great tips, you can minimise the redness around pimples and acne. It isn’t hard at all, but do not pick or squeeze at pimples because it can cause an infection and also scar your skin thus leaving an even bigger problem. While the redness will be reduced in a couple of days, these tips will decrease the amount of time it takes to minimise, because three days can be extremely long, especially when waiting for the redness around your pimples to be reduced.
