How to keep your marriage exciting and alive

While it is important to keep a marriage exciting and alive, it is also important to have a balance where both people have a feeling of true contentment as well.

Keeping things exciting and alive can be done in many different ways. Changing things up in the bedroom by planning a romantic night is one way. Light candles to set a romantic mood and include some soft love music. If you are home before your partner, slip into something sexy while cooking dinner. This is a way to give them a taste of what is to come later. Stay in the sexy outfit right through dinner and he will be anxious to get his shower and start the evening!

Often we get into certain habits in our lovemaking and changing things a bit in that respect will add some excitement, with the added benefit of possibly finding a new way to do things that both will enjoy!  Changing a particular habit in a small way can lead to something especially enjoyable. Add into this any kind of special cards or written poems that express your feelings, is a great way to enhance the love you feel for each other, bringing out thoughts and feelings that are taken for granted in the rush of everyday life .Communication is of utmost importance as you will not know what your partner wants or feels unless they tell you.

A great way of keeping things alive in a relationship is complimenting. Everyone loves to be told they have done something well, or they look great. Husbands love to be told they good providers or workers. For husbands, the best compliment to them is to be praised for their lovemaking skills! In our often over busy lives, we forget these important things in our relationships. Women love to be appreciated for all they do, and to tell them will make them feel nurtured and loved. If a man wants more action and excitement in the bedroom, begin by telling your wife how much you appreciate her hard work in keeping everything running smoothly. Look her in the eyes and mean it when you say it.

Planning a date night can also help to keep things alive. Going to dinner or getting together with some friends and having some laughs is very relaxing and brings something different to the everyday routines.

Most importantly, be content with one another. Allowing your partner to be who they are without nagging or discontentment because they are not who you want them to be, is most crucial to lasting and happy relationships. If we are all allowed to be ourselves in our daily lives, we are content. Come together when needed on things, compromise when needed, and be content as often as possible. Add that little spice of excitement here and there, and that is an exciting marriage!
