President Barrack Obama is a democrat with a new sense of urgency. His office has become the busiest official business centre. He is flashed in the News Channels of the entire world today.

 His speech after receiving the Nobel Prize for peace and the unveiling of his statue in Jakarta as Young Obama have hit the headlines today in many of the world News Channels. Indonesia celebrated his stay while he was young in Indonesia by raising a monument, a statue made out of stone. This is in memory of his stay in Indonesia.

 How many names in the world are flashed in the world news today! The global warming and the environment pollution hobnobbing is shown in the world news. We haven’t seen anything great today. Everyday Obama is shown in some context or other in almost every news channel in the world.

Obama is special in every way. His Whitehouse Meetings during the weekday at noon, his frequent Press Conferences and his transparency are certain things that his predecessors had not done. Coming in touch with people directly is something unique. I heard some ordinary residents are receiving letters under his signature. This shows the true democrat trying to usher a new era.

There is no doubt that he is pushing the nation ahead with new set of reforms with an eye on the economy which is positively on the upward trend. Even in the International affairs he is keeping pace with the growing development in the world. He is in touch with international leaders with a watchful eye on the Middle East, Afghanistan and Pakistan with particular emphasis on curbing terrorism.

He is pure without any hatred for his opponents as seen from his Peace Prize speech, demonstrating his statesmanship. He said that the wars were fought by America as they were necessary. He stressed that no wars were fought against democratic nations.

 He didn’t speak against any of his colleagues in the opposition and there was a sense of admiration for all those who made an attempt to build the nation. This is something remarkable in the person.

He made a very impressive speech.  Except Mickhail Gorbochev nobody who won the Nobel Prize for peace made a speech touching the international issues.

He has not lost track of the Health care Bill in the senate and he is very active on the domestic Front reminding the constituents to put pressure on the senators to help pass the bill and to remind them how much the health care bill is important to maintain the rosy picture of the nation.

I write this article, from experience as a teacher for more than four decades in Indian Universities and having studied the political system and democracies functioning in other countries reading and watching through news channels and personally visiting countries. Now I am convinced that President Obama has   opened a new chapter in American history with a difference.

He is a human being on a different level as he is drawing the admiration of peoples of all the countries. Here is a clear indication of his tremendous popularity all over the world.  As he was speaking today while receiving the Nobel Prize, the world leaders and the distinguished gathering were listening to his speech with rapt attention!  He concluded his talk to a thunderous applause.
