Smoothies are definitely the best thing since crushed ice. Smoothies not only taste amazingly good, they are very easy to prepare. The sky is the limit when it comes to choosing your favorite fruits and juices to add to your smoothie.  This non-dairy smoothie recipe is one of our family favorites. It’s a wonderful blend of sweet and tart flavors swirled together and packed with nutritious protein powder. So start your blender!  Try this quick and easy smoothie recipe today.

Quick and Easy Non-Dairy* Smoothie Recipe

 Four or five frozen strawberries

Ten to twelve frozen blue berries

Eight to ten frozen berries ( raspberries, blackberries or frozen cranberries)

1/2 to 1 cup of cold water or orange juice

1/4 cup of  vanilla protein powder

Five or six ice cubes

1. Drop the  frozen strawberries, frozen blue berries, other frozen berries and water or juice into a glass blender. Blend on high for two or three minutes.

 2. Next, add the  vanilla protein powder and five or six ice cubes. Blend again on high for another two minutes. The smoothie should be totally mixed and creamy. If you desire a thicker consistency, just add more ice.  Blend again.

 3. Pour into tall glass. Drink to your health!

 * You can easily make this recipe into a dairy based smoothie by adding one-half cup of vanilla yogurt or milk instead of one-half cup of water

Smoothies are both nutritious and great tasting.  There is no limit to the kinds of fruits, yogurts and other ingredients that can be added to smoothies. Just add a bit of protein powder to create a flavorful, health drink for your entire family. No doubt, this smoothie recipe will become one of your family's favorite treats, too.
