Poetry: I will always hope

If you are listening Love
It's not my intend to pretend as if everything is fine between us
As if time has not crafted a wide canyon between love

Moreover, I’m aware of the pain I’ve caused
Although initially it was you who felt brunt
My actions have come back to haunt me
Your disappointment, sorrow and pain, they’ all confront me
Forcing me to bear the burden of shame

Naturally a part of you will gratify in knowing that I’m getting what I deserve
Smile as my tongues tastes of this bitter dish, which I served
Yet still, I know that in your heart you still care
In fact I knew this from the start
That your love would mine forever

But instead of embracing it, I was a coward
Afraid to face my own feelings
But if you are listening Love
I’m not afraid of us anymore
And if there’s still hope
That we could save what I allowed to slip
Please let me know
