What Remains?
He's gone...what remains?
His name - every day on my lips.
His memory - etched forever in my heart.
His love - anchored deep in my soul.
His songs - alive in my head.
His beauty - in my mind's eye always.
His strength - empowers my personage.
His words - still captivate my mind.
He's gone...what remains?
Everything that he was,
Everything that we were!
Everything that he did - will always dwell beautifully in my soul
He's gone...what remains?
His beautiful, purposeful, powerful and loving memory!
I love you, David.
_____________
Dedicated to my husband of 30 years.
David passed away on January 14, 2009, after a 3 month battle with liver cancer.
He was so brave and never complained - He just kept telling me how much he loved his life with me and didn't want to leave me alone.
