Rap music has gotten ridiculous. It gives such a negative way of life for young people. The young people that listen to the music love it so much they began to imitate what they see on the videos. A lot of young people want to become rappers because they think it is such a glamorous way of life. The truth is that what they portray in the videos is not how life should be. It is not riding down the street in the nicest car and looking at women with the perfect shape dance in skimpy clothes. It is not running from the police because of drugs. Life is so much more than that and the rappers think they are portraying what life is like but it is a lie. It makes the kids who are from the suburbs want to be a gangsta and the kids who live in the projects feel like they do not have a chance at a better life. They think this is what Little Wayne raps about and he is doing good so I am going to do what he says. It makes living on the streets or a poor neighborhood cool when it really is not fun.

Rap music also disrespects women so badly that after hearing it over and over it makes people look at women differently. It makes men look at women like they are a piece of meat. After the men are done with the women they are ready to move on to the next one. They are not looking for a relationship they are looking for some one to fulfill their pleasures. Rap music causes women to look at themselves differently. The women think that they have to act easy in order to get a guy to like them. Women start to wear skimpy clothes and ready to pleasure any man that approaches them. They allow the men to treat them like they are dogs.

It is sad that rap music can have such a negative impact on society but it does. What is worse is that the people who make the music see the results and are not trying to change. They do not think their music has influence on society because the influence starts at home. A lot people do not have positive influence at home so they listen to music thinking that is a way out but if the music is not positive then it just pulls them down. Rap music has to change. It should raise the standard instead of keeping it the same or making it lower.
