India is peace loving country where Buddha and Mahatma Gandhi were born. It is known as Bharat meaning Bha= sense of inner feeling , ra= the tune, ta= the beat. In other words it is a nation sounding music that is in tune with peace, goodwill and friendship. To think of India preparing a way to destabilize Asia is a misnomer.

There are war mongers in every country. Show me an instance when India initiated war! Every time it was the other country that did it. In 1947 it was Pakistan who sent troops to support Muslims in Kashmir. In 1965 it was Pakistan who invaded India under the dictator Ayub Khan.

In 1971 there was a civil war in Pakistan and in the confusion, Bangla Desh was created. Every occasion it was India. When Lahore was captured India stopped further movement and left Lahore and the army returned. BBC in its political Commentary commended the statesmanship of Indira Gandhi, the then Prime Minister of the country.

In1999 Pakistan intruded and occupied portions in Kargil and India drove them out. Every time it was Pakistan that was the culprit. India fought in defence and that is how the wars went on. So many were killed on either side. Many from East Pakistan came to India for shelter.

India's economic growth this year was reported to be nearing 8.0% and the future is very bright in spite of problems at home. It is a vast country with a huge population. There are several anti social elements that are to be controlled.

Unfortunately the country is not able to see to the growth of the poor section of the people who remain poor and the country is obsessed with its own internal problems. The Government is trying to bring about the desired change to make people of all sections happy.

India shuns war and it had no war ambitions. Let us examine what had happened when China invaded India in 1961 in winter. India was not prepared to face the attack because the country was very poorly equipped for war with outdated weapons.

It had old machine guns and China had most sophisticated weapons. Thanks to Britain and USA who came to the rescue of the country. India had to recruit officers on an emergency measure. I volunteered and joined as Commissioned officer after proper training.

The Prime Minister Chou en Lai Mao Tse Tung visited India a couple of months before the War and they raised slogans China and India are brothers. They stabbed behind.

The country since then began organizing its defence equipment. Now it is prepared to meet any eventuality. It will never invade another nation and it hasn't done so at any time, leave alone destabilizing Asia.

India is building up and America has acknowledged India as 'A World Power'. It has no war intentions and this is for sure.

India is trying to solve its own internal problems like Naxals and Maoists trying to shake the very fabric of the plural society by derailing trains and planting bombs at places of gathering of people. Such anti social elements are trying to destabilize the country.

The recent attack on Mumbai demonstrates India's restraint in dealing with the situation. It is proved beyond doubt that Pakistan is involved in the game and they admitted it after much dilly dallying. Destabilizing India is not in the Agenda in India's development plans.
