To Be Feminine
Try to put yourself
Where I am
Drop your soul
Into my veins
It's not easy is it?
Harder than you thought, I bet.
Or are you still sure of yourself?
Well then,
Let's see you finish everything
On time and up to par
And don't cry, even if you almost burst
Because that's what they expect
And let me know if you're able
To figure out how to put in a tampon
Or fasten those bra clasps behind your back
That you can't even unclasp now without help
Wear jeans tight enough to show off your ass
And hold in your stomach
Then try to breathe,
See how it feels
Understand what it's like
To want everything you have
Be everything you are
But still be feminine
And maybe, just maybe
You'll open a few more doors
And plant a few kisses
That mean more than they did before
