From the time it was released in 1959 by the British Motor Corporation, Mini Cooper has evolved into countless attractive models that are available today in the market. In fact, in 1969 the Mini Cooper was look upon as an icon and many car makers were inspired by its space-saving model because 80% of the car floor-plan is available for passenger's use. In 1999, the Mini Cooper was voted as the second most influential car of the 20th Century, just behind the Ford Model T.

Today as never before, Mini Coopers continue to invade the world market. Car buyers and collectors continue to but new models of Mini Coopers because of its simplicity and elegance. First car buyers are now also considering the Mini Coopers as their first car since the car is small and easy to handle. However, first time car buyers are advised to do their homework before launching their first steps to buy a Mini Cooper from a dealer.

As always, first time car buyers are encouraged to call and make an appointment with the sales manager of the Mini Cooper dealer so that they can be prepared ahead of time. In this way, they can have time to prepare for the negotiation. Another important thing to take note is that car buyers are encouraged to know the Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) before having an appointment with the sales manager. Knowing the MSRP of the Mini Cooper is an advantage because you will if the Mini Cooper dealer is pricing the car way too high from the MSRP. The MSRP is the price suggested by the manufacturer and it does not change no matter who is the dealer. So it is important that first time car buyers are aware of this so that they can better negotiate with the dealer.

One notorious trick being used by Mini Cooper dealers is they are told  the price is only good for today, making the buyers believe the price might elevate the following day. This trick will entice car buyers to buy the car on the spot with the belief that they have saved a lot of money. As always, they are advised to shop around and inquire so that they can have other choices.

Finally, buying a Mini Cooper from a dealer has its benefits and perks, including getting a good price. As always, it better to shop around and inquire so that buyers can get the car with a reasonable pricing.
