Treasure of My Heart
The heart is a treasure box into which we place momentous of our most cherished finds. We tuck them away and over time reminisce over our preciouskeep-sakes. Sometimes we take inventory, and we may feel there isn't enough room for new treasures, so we discard the memories of our old treasures that become devalued through time. They are replaced by new treasures of the heart.
Sometimes we bury our treasures so deeply beneath cares that we forget that they are even there. We forget their beauty and their worth by trying to hang onto what captures the heart at the moment. Soon these treasures fade into the recesses of the heart only to become passing memories too.
But, once in a lifetime, we find a treasure so rare and wonderful; so enormous that it fills up all the heart. It's a treasure that will never depreciate in value but is priceless. Its desirability increases with the passage of time. With each new day, the heart grows to love this once in a life time treasure. The heart has discovered that with this one treasure many other treasures are revealed.
Darling you are the treasure of my heart. You are the one keep-sake that will be valued time and time again. You are the one I love more with each passing day, and you are the one who fills my void. An irreplaceable wonder and joy I find with you. You are my once in a life time, and I will guard my heart with all diligence to keep you there as a priceless jewel. My heart will never be free of you. You are the treasure of my heart, always.
