This Day
Here I am, thinking of what the day has in store.
I thank God everyday when I awaken, when I do.
I sense today of in-between the common routine.
Hope is in me, as a force of my being, as I move.
God sees what people do, God knows a man's heart.
Today I hear engines, poorly made, consuming gas.
As they were designed to, lest man should need less.
How is it today I feel, is a family to stand?
Only by Gods strength, given as grace and faith.
A prayer for one, leads to a good deed for another.
Hope is a daughter, looking to her father in trust.
Goodness is as a river, flows through the soul.
Waves of water rise along the mountain walls.
Land covers rock and that mystery within.
People build and tear down structures like play.
Yet, the wind blows fiercely on wooden homes.
Here I write of today...
People today gather in mass numbers, to make a way.
Love heals the wounds of affliction as time passes.
The stars move and the Earth rests in its view.
Labyrinths created long ago, shows of a justice.
For how can a people live, if so many destroy?
Tears of sadness, brings healing, and anger is gone.
Belief is understanding, the goal is not far from here.
God is an Alpha of light, he is an Omega of power.
Release of troubles is a new direction for the journey of life.
