. On here you can even sell your own unit studies that you create yourself. There are lapbook pages also. To the new home schooler you may wonder what a unit study or lapbook page are. Here is a definition of a lapbook. It is a notebook with collections of worksheets with diagrams, mini-booklets and other paper manipulative for teaching. A unit study is an in-depth study of a topic such as animals, space, countries, etc. Not only is this a great way to teach your children for less but it has become big business for people writing unit studies.

This is a complete curriculum which covers every last subject you need. The book has lesson plans and it is full of information. The books cover grades PreK-6. You can buy them here: http://books.coreknowledge.org/

. These books are quite a bit cheaper than your average books. The Brainquest workbooks are $12 a piece. The What Your_Grader Needs to Know books run $15 a piece. This is significantly cheaper than buying other home school curriculum.

There seems to be a misconception among home school newbies and the public in general that there have to be a lot of money spent.

The first site that you can visit to find free stuff and very inexpensive unit studies, online classes and other educational resources is:
