Views on illegal immigration in the US

First of all, illegal immigrants are not the problem. They are the result of the problem. The real problem that should be focused on is the government and its corrupt, intentionally inept way of dealing with this issue. After September 11th, there was a real focus on the "problem" of illegal immigration making us less "safer" according to Bush and his team.

Americans were led to believe that a new and secure border would be built and manned in order to remedy the problem. That would make the most sense wouldn't it? You want to keep people off your personal property you build barriers to keep them off. If your really insecure, you might even hire a guard to man the gate that allows traffic to come in, and or install security cameras that would allow you to make sure no one threatening entered your domicile.

These are things I'd do if I wanted to keep certain people off my personal property. So, common sense tells us that the only way to barricade illegals from coming here would be to build securer walls, with state of the art surveillance and man it all with highly trained guards.

There was even talks and debates of our government taking such steps, but when all was said about keeping American's safer, what was done was quite the opposite.

Instead of newer securer borders with state of the art surveillance to keep out those who do not have the legal right to come here, the Bush administration, got together with Mexico and Canada's leaders and they all agreed on building a new super highway that would allow free travel from Mexico to Canada.

Security was not a priorty either since the first checkpoint a Mexican trucker encounters isn't until he's travelled a good 1000 miles from home when he arrives in Kansas City. You thought you were getting a new wall to halt illegal traffic and instead you find out you got a thing that the government proudly calls a Super Highway!

Who do you go to say, "Um, I think someone goofed, this is not what I wanted at all"? I'd like for people to give that some thought and if they think of an answer, please do share. Here's my answer to this perplexing question, there is no one America! Your too damn late! You should have been awake when Clinton installed NAFTA which was created by Reagan and Bush, you might have been able to stop that from happening.

But because we somehow allowed North American FREE Trade to take place, we can't say much when the government decides to make it more free by allowing trucks to move back and forth without
