Celebrities like us, are normal human beings. They are different from us only in one way, which is they are much less "camera-shy" than most of us.Most of us might fear or feel a form of stress with the camera watching us and tries to do our best in front of the camera. However, it is a different case with celebrities. Hence, having a camera watching the celebrity would not help a normal addict from recovering, much less a celebrity. Addictions are hard to recover from because of the severe withdrawal symptoms one experiences when we do not succumb to the addiction. Hence, with or without a camera, celebrities will still find it hard to recover unless they have the proper mindset and determination to overcome it.

Some might say that celebrities would want to keep their image well and nice in front of the camera. However, I feel that if they wanted that, they wouldn't have started the addiction in the first place, whilst knowing the risk it carries and the devastating consequences when it leaks out. Therefore, I feel that the camera will pose no stress to the celebrities that are in it, trying to recover from his or her addiction.Celebrities will always be celebrities in that they would not be intimidated by the camera unlike us normal people.

However, I do feel that celebrities that are determined to quit or recover form their addiction would fare much better with the cameras in place. They might see the embarrassment they might feel when they fail. Apart from that, they could also gather support from their fans and other viewers for their recovery. With these extra support, aside from their own family and friends, I believe that it could be a force to push them towards and along the road to recovery.

There might also be other viewers or people who do not appreciate these celebrities and might on the other hand, say things that might hurt or demoralise them. This could be good or bad. If the celebrity concerned take these comments as they are and feel demoralised, they might be on their way to failure. However, if they look towards these comments and is determined to prove these people wrong, these comments would turn out to be a way to motivate them towards the recovery.

In conclusion, I feel that the camera does not affect the celebrities recovery from addiction as much as their own determination and views towards their addiction.
