One hundred five and still alive
Alert clear headed how she thrives
One wonders how she spends her days
While all that time has slipped away
December 1999
the clock stood still wouldn't cross the line
but blink your eye and here we go
the clock no longer running slow
Will we like she see hundredth year
Another 40 without fear
Or will we find that ev'ry day
That all our time has slipped away.

Like a wind over a landscape,
Speeding through life's moments.
One hundred five and still alive
Alert clear headed how she thrives
One wonders how she spends her days
While all that
The Time that Goes By
Ticking,
rhythmically,
the seconds pass,
turning into minutes,
then hours.
Days become weeks,
folding
