Sound of Midnight
Sweet music of the night
Serenade my dreams
Lay upon my tired eyes
And comfort me to sleep
By the chirping of the crickets
Whose song floats on the breeze
Floating through the night air
And clacking the branches of the trees
A mist descends gracefully
Landing, oh so softly, on the grass
As a peaceful little whisper
From the lips of clouds that pass
Let me hear your lullaby
A most soothing thing
Woo me into slumber
With the melodies you sing
