For those of you who are interested in animals, ranging from wanting to learn some interesting facts about them to wanting to help them, there is a website I found that is sure to please. Somebody really put some time and effort into creating The Animal Rescue Site, and keeping it up to date. It's so interesting, and it helps animals in so many ways. The animal rescue site is a partner of
Petfinder.com, a top notch pet rescue site on the Internet.
You can go to this site, and sign up with your email address. Each day, the animal rescue site sends you an email as a reminder to click on their link. When you do this, it takes you to their site. There you will find a purple button just as you get on their site. When you click on this button, The animal rescue site donates .6 bowls of food to rescued animals. They don't sell your email out, they don't pressure you into anything, they just ask you to click a button.
Donating .6 bowls of food to rescued animals is just the tip of the iceberg to this site, though. They have all sorts of products, ranging from key chains to clothing, to cookware, and on and on, at a really good price. Again, there is no pressure to order, but if you do, I'll let you in on what they do. They donate even more food to rescued animals!
I admit it, I've made purchases here. I love their little paw prints. I have to tell you, the quality of the product you receive is very good. Check out dimensions though. I was surprised to see how large the whisks were that I bought for my daughter! She'll love them, I was just surprised. They even have a clearance section!
If you look along the left side of the page, you will find free ways that you can help, if you wish to, as well as petitions you can sign, and e-cards they will send your friends for you to make your friends aware of them.
If you look along the top of their site, there are tabs for other non-profit organizations you may be interested in such as food for people, breast cancer, child health, literacy, and information on the rainforests.
Along the right side of their site are more tabs where you can learn about their projects, rescued animal stories, campaigns that you can take action in, a place to send in pictures of your beloved family members, (pets please), and stories about them. They also have information about pet care, and information that covers a whole lot of various wildlife animals from A to Z. It's very interesting!
On their site, they also have rescue stories, how their website works, and it shows you how you are helping! Even just the daily click provides a phenomenal amount of food for these rescued animals, and they have a pie chart showing you just how much each thing helps them.
Because of all of the benefits this The Animal Rescue Site has, I believe it has gone above and beyond all others that are out there. But, keep in mind that each site have benefits that help animals, so please take the time to look into PuppySites.com, RescueMe.org, IndianChild.com, TheBestFriends.org, AdoptAPet.com, and you could google several others.
The Animal Rescue Site would be a great site for your children to go to and learn more about animals, help them get information that they may need to write a great report, and they themselves could help these animals by clicking the button and providing food for them. The site is really well put together and I hope that you will give it a chance and take a look. You don't have to go there every day. There is no obligation, but imagine the difference you could make in the quality of life for these animals. It's all one click away!
