Poetry: Dark poems

Evil

Innocence is a clever disguise.
He examines the room, his lair
with those curious blue eyes,

watchfully waiting, wishing to devise
a plan, a plot, and he's quite aware
that innocence is a clever disguise.

Ever so patient should the moment arise,
he shifts his weight but maintains the stare
with those brightly blazing blue eyes.

For the same reason that Lucifer lies,
he aims for her flesh as she walks past the chair.
She is fooled by an innocent clever disguise.

His advance is meant to be a surprise,
but somehow she catches his act in mid air
and scowls at electric blue eyes,

"It might be time to say our goodbyes"
she thinks but hugs him, naively unaware
he's using his innocence as a clever disguise
holding her captive with deceptive blue eyes.
