Blogs are a boon to new businesses. They open up avenues of communication that are effective and reach many more people than communication systems of the past. if you are setting up a new business, there are many reasons to put up a blog. Here are some of them:
1. A blog will announce your business to the community and to other businesses much more economically than a paper launch will. And, because anyone in the world with an Internet connection can see your blog, you'll have the possibility of reaching a much larger audience than you could have anticipated with a paper campaign.
2. Through posting to your blog a couple times a week, you'll keep your customers or clients interested in what you have to offer. Make your blog interesting and valuable to those who read it and your customers will refer others to you also. This will increase your business slowly over time. Blogs reach as many people as you want them to; whereas with paper, your budget will dictate who you can reach with information about your business, and how often you can contact them.
3. Another reason to blog about your business is to make sure your customers or clients have all the information they need. You don't want to post too much information at any one time to your blog. People just won't read volumes of information. However, you can get the information you want to your customers in small bits. If you make the information easy to read, you will have an easier time keeping the audience of your blog happy.
4. Customer service is another reason to blog about your business. You can make sure your customers are happy by providing them with the opportunity to give suggestions on how you can serve them better through allowing comments to your blog posts or through conducting a survey on your blog. Instant interaction is one of the great advantages of blogging. If someone comments on a blog post, the wise business owner will comment back, making the customer or potential customer realize that their opinions are important.
5. Another reason to blog about your business is to communicate discounts, special sales and special programs that will benefit your customers or clients. They will appreciate receiving this advance information about upcoming specials or events.
6. Finally, one of the most important reasons to blog about your business is to give your customers or clients a way to get to know you better and to establish a valuable communication system with them.
