Social media is a great thing, and without it the world would be such a boring place. Imagine if you couldn't find updates to Farmville accomplishments, or other games that people play on Facebook. Imagine if no one had the ability to Tweet about where they were, or what they were doing? How on Earth would we ever stay in touch with people without being on 28 different social networks?
As crazy as social networks seem, they have a lot of great potential for making some money if you are a writer. If it wasn't for the ability to use social networks to encourage people to see your work, there would be a lot less potential to make money on page views and therefore you might still be a poor writer looking for some publisher to give you a big break.
Luckily we are allowed to use things like Facebook to make money. However, what are some good strategies to make money using Facebook to market your Helium articles? One of the best ways to do this is to make sure that you have as many friends as possible, and make sure you belong to groups that have relevant topics so that you can target your friend list a little better and you have a dedicated spot to put links and other news.
Post your articles! Post maybe one or two a day at first, and make sure they are of good quality. While Twitter is better for keyword searches and other aspects, Facebook allows you to actually read a portion of your article first. If the article isn't any good, you might not get the page views that you are after. So make sure your first paragraph is of good quality.
Post links in your status updates as well. This can be a good way to drive traffic to your articles. Just like any other social network, make sure you are active on the site. Take some quizzes, make some polls, and just comment on other people's pages. It can help you become friends with more people, and Facebook is more fun that way too.
If you are looking to make money, you need to be using social media. Facebook is a great social site to use to connect with other writers, other people, and your audience. It helps grow your audience, and your page views, meaning you make more money at the end of the day.
