This Christmas seasons quiet, a voice will not to be heard.
Had He informed me you'd not be here,
I'd have screamed absurd!
Your giggles with our granddaughters,
your gentle chirps to the bird,
not to hear you call-wake up-three times,
my finest alarm not heard.
The fields of snow, soon to cover the land you walked,
my tears still cover your pillow where we last talked.
The path we strolled together, now forked.
There will be no carols, no mistletoe to hang,
just peaceful quiet loneliness-a part you left behind.
Your love wrapped me, forever hard and long,
only in your arms retreat did I feel strong.
Bells will chime at midnights' stroke
'round town on Christmas Eve.
Their soft sweet joyous melody, cannot bring reprieve.
Choked sorrow will fill the crisp night air,
filling space of you not there, just the
locket round my neck that holds your golden hair.

Poetry: Christmas Without Him
It won't be the same this year for me,
Without hit presence under the tree,
I don't mind
Simple Gifts
She sits in a corner, alone
A string of saliva slowly creeps down a crease in her wrinkled, time-worn face.

Like standing on a platform, as your train flashes
