How do I pacify this troubled heart?
Torn and tattered by an unmanageable life
Criticized and ridiculed by self,
with not a soul to call truly mine.
How do I mollify this troubled heart?
Hurt and bruised by repeated failures,
Eager to change but to what?
With not a soul to call truly mine.
How do I soothe this troubled heart?
Beaten and glum in this endless void
wanting to join in and be part of
with not a soul to call truly mine.
How do I calm this troubled heart?
Hopeful and expectant of the days to come
Do you think I can make it?
With not a soul to call truly mine.
