Technology is all the rage. Who has the latest cell phone, laptop, or camera seems to be more important than a car these days. Comparing new technology is it all it's made out to be? Is one phone better than the next? Simplifying these question lets look at two of the hottest phones on the market, the Apple iphone 3GS and the Motorola Droid.
Lets start with the Motorola Droid. The phone has many great features. Claiming to have an advanced browser and lighting speed Android 2.0 software processor. Coupled with 3G speed for fast Internet access and searches. Another great feature, the Internet, who needs a netbook with this little guy. It has a thin QWERTY slider only 13.7 mm. Not only is it slim, but reveals a keyboard for easy typing. With a navigation system and applications from Google Maps don't worry about getting lost in town or out of town. The phone also has a 5MP camera with flash, plays DVD quality video, voice activation not just for notes and dialing, but for web searches too. Features also include free applications from YouTube, Facebook, and Amazon MP3 store. It also features a touch screen. You could pretty much eliminate your camera, ipod/MP3 player, and personal or car navigation system. That would make traveling easier.
Now the Apple iphone 3GS. There are some similarities between the two. Just like the Droid the new iphone claims to be twice as fast for Internet access and searches. It features the 3G technology that makes this possible. It also has a map navigational system. No matter if you are walking or driving it will get you to your destination by the fastest route possible. Voice control to make calls, play songs and take memo's. Shoot, edit, share, and play high quality video. The iphone features a touch screen, so it's completely flat. The phone does have a landscape and horizontal keyboard. Simply rotate the phone for a wider screen. Now this is where the differences come into play. It has applications to assist the visually and hearing impaired. Making this phone literally for everyone. It also goes one step beyond surfing the Internet. It has Internet Tethering. This allows you to connect your iphone to your Mac computer or PC laptop. There is a downside to this it's not available in the U.S. and other countries. There is even something for the workout nut when it comes to the iphone. Teaming up with Nike they have created a sensor that goes in the shoe. The sensor sends the results of your workout to your iphone. It calculates
