Tiger should give a better explanation for the crash, for his sake as well as ours.

First of all, some things are obvious. We know something happened, and what occured was not a regular accident. Sure, Tiger Woods would like some privacy with the whole controversy, but guess what, I would like a trillion dollars. Too bad! We don't always get what we want, and Woods is not going to get privacy with the way he is handling the situation. Because of this unfortunate circumstance, there is a great void for information, and it not going away, no matter how hard Tiger tries to ignore it or wish it away. Either Tiger steps up and releases the truth, immediately killing TMZ and all the rumor spreading, or he lets TMZ control the situation and spread potentially dubious information. The ball's on your course, Tiger.

As the cliche goes, the cover-up is worse than the crime. We don't hate Nixon because of Watergate. We don't entirely hate OJ because he decapitated his wife (allegedly...). We hate these people because they tried to cover up their crimes and thought they were above the law. If OJ had confessed and had gone to jail, then come out rehabilitated and remorseful, we would have forgiven him and maybe even found excuses for his actions. If Nixon had not lied to the American people, he would not have gone down as the villian he is known as today. The lesson is that if you confess and show remorse, the American people will forgive you, no matter the crime. Tiger would be wise to show that he is not above the law, and just come clean on the incident.

Tiger has all these personal reasons to come clean, but lastly, he does owe something to us. Right or wrong, Tiger is where he is because of us, fans. Every single dollar of his billion dollars has come from us in some form or some way. We are the shareholders of the "Tiger Woods brand" that has him on the verge of being a billion solely on his ability to hit a golf ball. How about the actual shareholders of Nike? They are the ones that are paying him tens of millions of dollars. Don't they have a right to know what their "spokesman" has been doing? Tiger has made a lot of money, and those paying him have a right to know if he is being a good employee.

At this point, Tiger Woods cannot be considered a normal private citizen and ask to be treated as such. He invites attention to himself by doing commercials and promoting himself. As soon as you appear on my television and ask me to buy products, you are now a public figure. That label means you are a figure of interest and will receive publicity. Tiger can't selectively turn off his "watch me" switch. Eyes are ALWAYS on him, even when he as much as sneezes. Tiger can't say "watch me on the course, but don't watch me elsewhere." Tiger, you sold your soul to the devil for a billion dollars, now deal with the consequences. You'll get both negative and positive attention. That is the life of Tiger Woods.

For everyone's benefit, Tiger has to deal with this immediately. Then hopefully this unfortunate incident can just go away.
