The newest installment of the Legend of Zelda has many new items and secrets. Some of the many new items to collect are:

1) 24 Golden bugs that reveal some upgrades or random things (give the golden bugs to Agitha in Castle town. You can acquire these all throughout the game and to get the map you have to find your first golden bug. The best time to find them is in the dark, but keep your eye out because sometimes they are hard to see and can be difficult to catch. You may also catch the same one on more than one occasion. Also a quick little reminder, each individual insect gives off a distinct sound. Make sure you listen for that in every area. If anyone finds all 24, let me know were you found them.

2) There are chicken-like creatures that allow you to warp outside if you get into a situation or if you are just in one area to stock up on potions and such. You will find Ooccoo and Ooccoo Jr in many Dungeons. Remember though Ooccoo Jr is used to go back inside where you came from.

3) Ancient Sky Book: A new random thing that has somewhat of a big part in the game later on. This is used to charge the Dominion Rod which is used for controlling movements of certain statues and the owl statues as well...You will come across these through out the game. This Ancient Book is located in The Eldin Province; Hidden Village. How to obtain this is to show Impaz the useless Dominion Rod.

4) The Gale boomerang: This comes quite in handy when you can't reach certain things, such as weather vanes, objects and items. You will find this in Dungeon 1 which is also referred as the Forest Temple.

5) Ashei's Sketch: This is used for to obtain the Coral earrings. You get this from Ashei...hence the name.

6) Ball and Chain: This is something new and it does come in quite handy so you don't have to use all your bombs as previous games to blow up ice blocks and you can also use it to defeat enemies as well. You can locate this In the Snow Peak Ruins (Dungeon 5).

7) Double Claw-shot: This is the best hook shot/claw shot every created in the Zelda series. This is found in Dungeon 7, City in the sky.

8) Ilia's Charm (Horse Call): The horse call comes really in handy when you are not close to the grass, and you can use it from about any were. This also restores Ilia's memory and you have to show the wooden statue to Ilia and then talk to Impaz which will give you the Charm.

9) Magic Armonk: This is not really a main piece of armor that you need but it comes in handy when you
