I have been dealing with acne for numerous years. It all started when i was young. I went to numerous specialists and nothing to seem to work. Here is some of the medication i have taken and the side effects.

Tetracycline: Tetracycline is a tablet or a capsule that you take orally and you need lots of water when you take it. You need to take 2 times a day and it has to be an hour before you eat or 2-3 hours after you eat and you can't miss one time or it will not work. The side effects are loose stool diarrhea vomiting discoloration of the teeth if the person happens to be under the age of 8.Tetracycline has many uses and here are some of the uses for it. Anthrax,Spotted fever (Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever). People should never take Tetracycline when you take Tums or any other heartburn or acid reflux subsidizers and the reason for the the tetracycline will get all binded up in the intestines. It may also cause your blood to thin out dramatically and it will decrease warfairn or known as Coumadin.

Solugel 8: This is a cream that you put on 1-2 times a day it is a benzoyl peroxide. You put this cream on the affected area preferably before you go to bed so it works at night. Ask your doctor about it tho cause you maybe allergic to it. never breast feed with this cream because it will soak into your skin and be in the milk the baby will be digesting. But no reports have been made of this affecting babies that are nursing. There is no side effects for this cream just your standard keep away from eyes lips nostrils and certain areas that may be windburned or sunburned (if open like blisters).

Proactiv Solution: This is what i am currently using now i find it better than any other acne medication out there. I personally have acne so bad i thought nothing was going to work till I decided I will try one more and see what happens. Well I have been using it for a month now and when I look in the mirror i double check to see if it is actually me. It is a benzoyl peroxide product but i have had no problem with it so far.I use it once a day and it does wonders for my skin it is somewhat of a lengthy process but it is well worth the time. It may dry your skin but I have never had it happen yet and if you do you can always use moisturizing cream it works and your acne stays at bay. The creators of proactive offer numerous products and they all seem wonderful i would definitely recommend Proactiv. The side effects of this are pretty minimal keep away from your eyes, discontinue using if you notice a rash of some sort. Rashes can vary from person to person. Keep out of reach from children, use on the outside only not on the inside. (external only). Also you may want to keep them away from hair or fabric of any sort there is a slight chance it may dye them. It also may make you sensitive to the sun so be careful if you love the summer and the warm and beautiful days.
