But All I See is Blue
My hands touch hers But yours are the ones I feel My lips brush hers But yours are the ones I kiss
My eyes meet hers But all I see is blue My voice says her name But yours is the one I speak
I answer the phone when she calls
But your voice is the one I hear
I see her name on the display
But yours flashes across my vision
I turn on the radio and hear a song
But its ours that I start to sing
I wake up every morning alone
But its your breath I feel upon my chest
I place my hand over my heart
But its not there
No amount of searching will find it
But I know where it is
My arms wrap around her
My eyes look at her
But it is your warmth I feel
But it is your face I see
My mind tells me how I feel
My lips try to form the words
But my heart says I'm in love
But my lips betray me
I try to hold on tight
I try to move on
But my grip starts to slip
But I am stranded in the past
I'm in love with you
I've always loved you
But what do you feel?
But you've known that...
I can try to move on
But I know its pointless
I can lie to my brain
But I can't fool my heart
I love you
But you know that
I need you in my life
But you can't trust me
You can't trust me
But I can't blame you
You can't trust me
But I did this to myself
We are not together
But I don't have to give up
I will try as hard as I can
But it is in Fate's hands now
Your face permeates my dreams
But I cannot sleep without you
My arms long to hold you
But you are not near
Babe, I love you with all my heart
But you already knew that
Babe, I messed up
But you already knew that
Babe, I need you in my life
But I broke your heart
Babe, I am sorry
But I broke your heart
I love you, babe
But you know that...

Poetry: Lost love
by Olu Burrell
I think about you when I'm looking ahead
And also in moments of reminiscence
But do me a favor and don't ask me
To tell you
The man in the jacket, walking through snow,
His faithful friend, always in tow,
Forever smiling, happy look on his face,
Whatever
So there we were
Looking up at the sky,
Together.
Truly thought
That you and I
Could storm
Any kind of weather.
I still
Do not wait for me with bated breath,
because my heart dances to and fro.
Its chambers are hollowed and empty
it longs for
As a bird perched on the edge of its nest
eyes searching the unknown world outside
strengthening its wings, yearning to fly
