If you maintain a regular blog and you are worried about your content growing stale, you might want to consider outsourcing your blog writing to a third party.Outsourcing is typically defined as purchasing the services of another person to do work for you. However, there are ways you can outsource your blog writing that you may not have considered including:
Posting an ad on your blog
If you are searching for a writer you can post an advertisement on your blog for "guest bloggers". You have the option when doing this to offer a "pay per post" or simply offer someone the rights to claim the work as their own. Using this method may allow you to outsource your blog writing without having to pay for it or pay a lower fee to have fresh, relevant content posted.
Hiring through a freelancing site
If you are seeking someone to post content regularly you may want to consider hiring a freelance writer to post content for you on a regular basis. This can be accomplished by going to some of the more popular freelancing websites such as eLance or oDesk and hiring a freelance writer. You can elect to pay by the post, by the week or by the hour depending on what you are looking for. This is the most common type of outsourcing that people utilize to outsource their blog writing.
Purchasing content
While this is not the normal means of outsourcing your blog content, you can also purchase relevant content from sites such as Helium. This will not provide you ongoing content but is another method for outsourcing your blog writing. Make sure you review all of the terms and conditions associated with this type of content purchase so that you will not be in violation.
Before you consider outsourcing your blog writing there are some things that you should know. First, you should ensure that the person (or people) who are going to do the writing will be using the "voice" you want for your blog. Not everyone has the same level of knowledge nor do they necessarily write in the same manner. If you decide to hire someone ask for samples of their work and make sure that it fits with your style as well as the overall content of your blog. Too often, those who outsource blog writing find that they have multiple "voices" and that can often lead to mixed messages and driving traffic away from their blog.
