The New Year is coming up, and what better way to ring in the new year than a New Year's party? Many people like to throw parties, but because of the economic problems we are having many people are afraid that they can not afford to throw a party, but you can throw a great party on a budget. This article will give you detailed instructions and ideas on how to plan a New Year's party on a budget.

Invitations

When you start planning your New Year's party invitations will be the first thing on your list, and they can be extremely cheap. In fact email invites are free, and they are a great way for guest to know who else is coming. Sending an email only takes a few minutes, and it is absolutely free.

If you feel like sending invitations through email is not personal enough you can make your own homemade invitations for cheap. There are several ways to make invitations that are great for your budget and your party. Start with a folded piece of heavy paper and add a nice message on the outside. You can use glitter and glue, collage, or you can use letter paper cut outs. Feel free to explore your creativity, and remember to include all of the important information your guests will need.

Decorations

Decorating for a New Years party can be as easy as leaving up your Christmas decorations. Christmas decorations are still appropriate for your New Year's party, but you can also alter them to make them more special for New Year's. Lights can be hung all over, and trees should stay up to keep the warm feeling of the holidays. Left over garland is a nice touch for a New Year's party, and any left over bright or sparkly decorations will fit perfect in your New Year's party theme. For a fun look hang extra garland or lights around the room, and hang sparkly silver or gold ornaments from it. This is a festive look that is practically free.

You can also try making your own collage Happy New Year's banner to save on your budget. This only requires old magazines and news paper, glue, a ribbon, scissors, and paper. Simply cut out all of the letters you will need for your banner, and glue them to an individual piece of paper. Glue each paper to the ribbon in the right order, and hang on a long wall. If you can only find little letters feel free to cut out several of the same letters and glue all of the same letters to the piece of paper.

Confetti

Confetti is an important part of any New Year's party; it can be sprinkled around tables for ambience, it can be put in balloons for extra
