The intricate artwork of architecture has faded in America. Frank Lloyd Wright the greatest architect of America was possibly the last architect to think outside the box. The beauty that our ancestors installed in with their craftsmanship is long gone. The finely etched woodworking done by hand is simply a thing of the past.
I personally had the chance to build a house that was designed by a student of Frank Lloyd Wright. The house is amazing the art work that was installed simply fabulous. The two story entranced encased in stone each piece hand cut and placed. The front door of worm wood high lighted by stain glass on each side and top. The spiral staircase that goes four stories up, custom built with a hand rail that will make your hand feel like it is running on air.
The hard wood floors each piece hand cut and inlaid with white bamboo. The coffered ceiling in the library would make Sherlock Holmes jealous. There are hand made arched doors custom made to fit through out the house. I personally think Frank Lloyd Wright would have been very proud of this house.
The living room focused on five curved fish tanks that wrapped around the stair case. the ceiling with rope lighting that wrapped the entire room in a two tier soffit. The landscape simply amazing, surrounded by water at the back yet nestled in a cove.
There are the exceptions to the modern architect and their designs in America.I firmly believe that modern architects in America are concentrating on how high and how big. The art in modern architecture however for the most part is disappearing and giving way to structure to help against disasters. Which is a good goal however modern architects are forgetting art.
