What epitomizes the feelings of love better than music? Throughout time, troubadours have wooed young lovers into falling deeper into the depths of love with one another. Two people can hear a song while they have all these feelings welling up inside of them and before long, the song becomes their anthem as they each get through the drudgery of daily activities.

Every couple has a song or songs that remind them of the beginning of their relationship - even the singers who sing them. Those who have lived love express it in music even better. Those artists who have had long lasting partnerships have produced ballads true to the stuff of which relationships are about. None of that sentimental mumbo jumbo touting only the beginning infatuation of love's pull on your heartstrings - these songs are timeless.

Because You Loved Me - Celine Dion

The French Canadian songstress has remained with her partner and love of her life for fourteen years. In the 1995 release, one year after her marriage to her manager Rene Angelil, she sang this ballad which has graced the speakers of many a couple's wedding anniversary party. Some may claim its too sappy, but it still brings tears to watch a couple dance and cuddle while the lilting voice of Celine clearly conveys how much one can appreciate loving another through all odds. As mushy as it is, there is no truer representation of love's reach into our souls.

Love Will Keep Us Together - Captain and Tenille

The couples gained notoriety through the late 70's with upbeat songs about love have become current day karaoke favorites. Their own tight relationship still carries on today and that would mean they have been together for over 30 years. From 1975 to today, the hit that sprang their career has a positive message to impart and a snappy beat to boot - even if it does bring back bad prom memories.

Through The Years & You Decorated My Life - Kenny Rogers

Likely one of the most played anniversary songs of all time, its words are reminiscent of years gone by with the one who enhances you. You Decorated My Life is another one of Kenny's hits which has been touted as a classic romantic ballad, but he has sung many in his career span.

Maybe I'm Amazed - Paul McCartney & Wings

Paul wrote the hits Maybe I'm Amazed(1970) and My Love in tribute to his wife, Linda. The heartfelt lyrics are passionately sung with the honesty of a man who loved a woman and relied on her to make him a stronger. He still plays them both at his concerts and dedicates them again and again in reverence for his undying admiration for the love of his life.

Woman - John Lennon

The song begins with Lennon whispering, "For the other half of the sky..." and continues on in an unforgettably touching ode to his wife, Yoko Ono. John was undeniably in love with the slightly quirky artsy Asian woman and didn't keep it hidden which was beautiful in itself. The single was released in 1980 after John had been killed and became an instant hit as a grown up song about love and respect.

By Your Side - Sade

The exotic singer breathily vocalized the soft and romantic requiem of devotion which celebrity couples have chosen for their wedding receptions for the past nine years. Since the song was only released in 2000, the decade interval wedding anniversary would likely be the perfect time to include this dreamy sounding piece in 2010.

Love songs are as old as time and there are thousands more to choose from. These classics merely drape any anniversary celebration with the ability for two people to show everyone watching how much they mean to one another merely by their expressions - and that's a Kodak moment not to forget.
