A lifetime of close calls.
Love at first sight, or so it seems.
Falling fast and furious.
Allowing her to become attached.
I am the world in her eyes.
Making plans for the future, glorious.
Waking, love replaced by uncertainty.
Is she really what I want?
Questioning her beauty, finding faults.
Looking elsewhere, playing what if.
Looking for ways out, smothering.
Dreading the reaction.
Starting an argument, better this way.
Ending it all, weight off the chest.
Ignoring the phone calls.
Running away.
