You are buying for a teen movie buff and don't know what to get them? Here are some ideas:
DVD basket
Find out what kinds of movies they like. Buy a variety of different types of DVDs. You should probably find out what movies they already have first, before buying any. This can be a hard gift to buy if the person you are buying for has a lot of DVDs already. So you could also buy them a DVD case that is already made, for instance a series of DVDs.
Gift certificate to Netflix or Blockbuster
With a gift certificate to Netflix or Blockbuster, they could rent whatever movies they like. There are different certificates to fit your budget. With one of these certificates, the movies will arrive in their mailbox and there is no late charge. I'm sure almost anyone would like getting this gift, I know I would.
Popcorn and candy basket
When we watch movies we usually eat some popcorn or candy. I'm sure any movie buff would like to get popcorn or candy, or even both. They can eat popcorn and candy while they watch their movies. It's always nice to have something to snack on when your watching a film.
Movie tickets
Usually movie buffs want to see movies that are in theatres. So it would be nice to give them a movie ticket, they could watch any movie they want to in theatres. This way they don't have to wait for the movie to come out on DVD.
Movie gift bags/baskets
Usually you can find these in stores, and on line. They are good because they offer a variety of different things. I have seen some with mostly food and a movie or two. I have also seen some with a lot of movies and only a little bit of snacks. These are a great gift to any movie buff. The movie gift bags or baskets do tend to be a little expensive though.
Find out about what movies the teen likes. This should help you out quite a bit. You should also find out what movies they already have, if it's not too many then you could pick out movies for them more easily. If they have tons of movies, then I would skip buying them any DVDs unless you know for certain they want it or haven't seen it. Another nice thing to know when buying for a movie buff is to find out what movies they want to see, and what movies they have already seen. It's always nice when you get a DVD that you haven't seen, part of the fun is watching the movie!
