Just another day in the Kingdom
kneeling on broken glass
I wish I could tear out the part of me that loves you
instead of waiting like a fool
My eyes on the floor as you laugh with others
wondering about the tatse of your lips
I hate that you never think of me
as I dream about your kiss

I hate that I love you

Remembering you and what could have been
After all this while my love

by John Boos

now struggling to live with the pain,
driven through my soul like a stake,
still my heart
