Winter is always a fun time to do many things, especially in places where it snows, such as New York. Central Park is a huge huge huge place! You could walk for about fifty miles and you'd still have some areas left not treaded on. But that is what makes this park so special, it's interesting and unique and if you never been to New York before, you have to make it on the top of your sight seeing list, it'll create some magical memories for sure.

Even if you do live in New York and you never seen Central Park for yourself, what are you waiting for? Winter in Central Park is one of the best times to get a chance to visit it! So be sure you're ready for a long walk and various interesting things to take part in. Here are some sites to take in when you visit Central Park.

Right around Fifth Avenue is a wonderful light show themed on Alice in Wonderland. During the winter months, this show is decked out in brilliant lights and a wide array of colors. It's a great show for children who are interested in literature and just pure fun to see as well. Adults and kids alike will be taken in by it!

The Central Park Zoo -

How can you not visit the zoo while you're at Central Park? It is one of the biggest zoos in the country and during winter they have their own fair share of zoo light shows especially during night when the lights are all bright and right in your face! This is pretty magical to go and see, especially for children but adults will love it too.

Delacorte Theatre -

For something more adult and mature besides fun children events, the Shakespearian Theatre has unique Christmas and holiday plays for your leisure. This is a great and elaborate theatre with a beautiful setting for you to sit back and relax in.

Central Park Skating Rink -

The skating rink is perfect for the winter season! It's also brightly decorated and gorgeously laminated during the holidays. How fun would it be to skate around with your family as you get into the holiday spirit!

These are not the only places to go and visit while in the big city you should definitely go out and expand your horizons beyond central park. The city is waiting for you to explore on winter!
