In order to really greet the New Year with enthusiasm you must do so with exultation, so what better way to celebrate in high spirits than with effective noise makers? Embrace the upcoming New Year with triumph, by welcoming it with high hopes, good company and the typical hustle and bustle of noise that makes this holiday all so typical. Equip yourself therefore with the finest unique noise makers available: the ones you have personally crafted with the help of your loved ones. Then shake them, rattle them, crash them with all your might to welcome the year with a roar.

-Noisy Soda Cans

Start putting aside empty soda cans a week or two prior to the holiday. Then put them on a table and let your little ones help out by decorating some colored cardboard paper. They can glue glitter on it, draw on it, place stickers on it or cut out some New year's related pictures from magazines and glue them to the paper. After you can glue the decorated paper on the soda can. Then place the soda can on a piece of cardboard paper and trace its circumference. Cut the circle out and keep aside. Fill the soda can with sunflower seeds or popcorn kernels and cover the cover the lid with the cardboard circle and glue it shut.

-Classic Tambourine

Purchase two aluminum pie plates and with a hole puncher punch four holes in both plates around the rim exactly at the 12 0' clock, 3 o'clock, 6 o'clock and 9 o' clock position. Let your child decorate the plates with stickers, glitter or paint. After ward, get some pretty ribbons and thread some bells on each strand, match up the holes in both plates with the decorated sides facing out and slip them in th holes closing them with a knot. The pretty tambourine is now ready!

Petite Noise Makers

Empty film canisters seem to not have any use until New Year approaches. Fill them up with popcorn kernels and then shut them close. Have your children decorate them by placing stickers on them. These are small but make very cute noisemakers. Do not be under estimate the size, these can be real loud too!

-New Year Horn

Roll up some card stock paper into a cone shape and then secure with glue. Trim the end to make it even. Then drizzle some glue on the end and sides and sprinkle gold or silver glitter on it. Allow to dry and have fun!

-Foil Pan Noise Maker

Fill up an empty foil pan with dried beans and then cover it with another foil pan. Staple the two together. Then have your children decorate the pans with stickers or have them glue on some paper cut outs. Let the glue dry and them grab by the rim and shake it with all your might!

-Noisy Water Bottle

Get an empty and dry water bottle and remove the label. Then get a funnel and place inside. Pour inside the bottle some rice. The inside of the bottle may be also decorated by adding as well small items such as beads, glitter, small charms and so forth. Children will love this noise maker not only because of the noise but also because small hidden treasures will be revealed!

-Balloon Pop

What can be noisier than having all your guests pop lots of balloons all at once when the clock strikes midnight? To make the event memorable slip in each balloon a card with a special New Year's wish and then fill the balloon with some confetti as well. Once popped the guests will see the confetti sprinkle down and will be greeted with a good fortune message.

Have all the noise makers ready in a box and take them out as midnight approaches. Then, when the New Year is just minutes away, have your guests choose their favorites. There are not many times of the year that allow you to make noise, so take advantage of the holiday to make as much as you can! Happy New Year!
