When I came in, everything was new
New people and faces
And math I hadn't met back in junior high school
New building and teachers
My friends and daily activities changed
New body features
And unwanted attention were gained
Then, everything was just the usual
I was comfortable walking around the school
I knew the faces and people and their names
And even more about me had changed
I started to develop my own sense of style
Chill with my friends and dance and sometimes we were kind of wild
In school, played basketball, danced and ran track
I gained a reputation and had respect
This new school was starting to have an effect
I learned a lot and grew in many ways
But all of that went out the window on many days
Still and all, I have regained
My path is leading me the right
Way
Just as soon as we came, we will soon leave this new
Place
Which we cautiously explored and where we've made our mark
Our legacy will continue, as will our memories
But our education process will begin in new venues
I will fight the fight,
Which may, at times, be difficult
To resist the temptations,
Which may, at times, creep up
But, determined, purposed and disciplined to finish strong,
I'll keep it up
And, it, sometimes, seems long
For the coming day
That I will graduate
But
It is now here
Gone is my senior year
Therefore, do not fear
There will, undoubtedly, be a day
That your next new school will no longer be new
And you'll reflect on it this very same way

It is empty and so very cold
Full of sorrow yet to unfold

A "Poker Face" is worn by those,
who daily need to hide...
Emotions from the sight of foes,
who love so much to chide!
