Product reviews: Simple Derma Intensive Relief cream

Having eczema or other dry skin related problems is no fun. Sometimes its hard to find a cream that will give you relief from the dryness and itchiness. This cream is one that is designed for just that. Simple Derma Intensive Relief Cream is designed for very dry and sensitive skin prone to eczema and dermatitis. It is made with natural plant oils designed to soothe and lock in moisture. It has no perfume and no colourings, it is just simple!

It is made with a product called Aquaxyl which is naturally derived and Canola Oil. The Aquaxyl deeply moisturises and restores skin and the Canola Oil replenishes and protects. The cream is designed to restore, protect and prevent further moisture loss.

Directions are to apply liberally to hands, body and face as often as required. For maximum benefit they recommend that you use 3 or 4 times a day. Simple say that there are clinically proven results in 4 days. The cream is dermatologist approved, hypoallergenic and also suitable for children.

The cream is available in a 50ml tube fore around 1.99 and a 125ml tub which retails around 3.99 although is currently only 3 in Superdrug. I have the tube which has a screw cap.

The cream is a white quite thin cream. It absorbs quickly into my skin but it does leave a greasy feel on your skin for quite a while. I use this at work as I work on a hospital ward and my hands get quite dry from all the handwashing for infection control reasons. The cream is great as it does soothe my dry skin. The main downside is the fact that it is quite greasy, its fine if I remember just to rub it on the top of my hands but if I rub it on my palms it just feels so greasy and is hard if you then go to write any notes. It takes several minutes for the greasiness to subside. Because the cream has no perfume it is kinder to skin but might not suit those who like a nice smelling product.

I think it's a good hand cream and the tube version is small enough to be able to carry around easily in your bag. It works well and is good value for money, I will continue to use it. If you suffer from dry skin you might want to try it too.
